Austyn Marie Design: From a WorkBay Warehouse to a Story-Filled Showroom and Fulfillment Center

When you step inside Austyn Marie Design’s WorkBay space, “warehouse” is probably not the first word that comes to mind.

The space feels thoughtful, curated, and full of character. Fine art leans against the walls. European antiques are arranged with care. Each piece carries its own story, from oil paintings and antique furniture to decorative objects sourced across Europe.

Behind the beauty of the showroom is something just as important: a highly functional space that helps Austyn run, grow, and manage her business.

Austyn Marie Design is a European antique import business built around meaningful, one of a kind pieces. Austyn personally sources antiques from Europe, brings them home in containers, and offers them to customers through Instagram Live sales, online shopping, and in person showroom visits. Her WorkBay warehouse gives her the room to do all of it.

A Space That Works Two Ways

For Austyn, the ideal business space needed to be more than storage. It needed to support both the customer facing side of her brand and the behind the scenes operations that keep everything moving.

“The way that I use my WorkBay warehouse is it is part a showroom and a functional fulfillment center.”Austyn, Austyn Marie Design

One side of the space is designed for customers to come in, browse antiques in person, and experience the pieces the way they are meant to be seen. It is also where Austyn hosts Instagram Live sales, giving online customers a chance to shop from wherever they are.

The other side supports the operational side of the business. With containers full of antiques arriving from Europe, Austyn needs room to unpack, organize, photograph, store, sell, and fulfill orders.

That balance is what makes her WorkBay space so unique. It is beautiful enough to serve as a showroom, practical enough to function as a fulfillment center, and flexible enough to grow with her business.

From European Sourcing to a Curated Showroom

Austyn’s showroom reflects the heart of her brand: antiques with history, craftsmanship, and character. Customers can expect fine art, especially oil paintings from Dutch, Flemish, and English regions, along with European antiques selected for homes that feel collected rather than formulaic.

Her passion for antiques started long before the business itself.

That early interest eventually grew into something much bigger. After working in finance, Austyn made the leap into entrepreneurship and started her antique business. What began as a love for old furniture and beautiful, storied pieces has expanded into a brand that allows her to travel, source across Europe, and bring containers full of antiques back to her customers.

Today, Austyn Marie Design gives customers access to pieces they may not find anywhere else: fine art, period furniture, silver, books, and decorative objects that bring depth and personality into a space.

Making the Leap Into Self Employment

Like many entrepreneurs, Austyn’s journey from employee to business owner came with both challenges and freedom.

Running a business means wearing many hats. Austyn manages sourcing, sales, fulfillment, customer relationships, live sales, content, inventory, and the day to day details that keep the business moving. It takes organization, creativity, and a lot of hard work. But for Austyn, it has also been deeply rewarding.

Her WorkBay space supports that independence by giving her the room and flexibility to operate in a way that fits her business model. Instead of forcing her brand into a traditional retail box or limiting her operations to storage alone, the space allows her to create something that is fully her own.

Why Flexible Warehouse Space Matters

Austyn Marie Design is a perfect example of how flexible warehouse space can become so much more than a place to store inventory. For some businesses, a warehouse is where products are packed and shipped. For others, it is a workshop, studio, production space, showroom, fulfillment center, or creative headquarters.

For Austyn, it is all of the above.

Her WorkBay space allows her to welcome customers in person, sell online through Instagram Live, manage incoming shipments, and create a showroom experience that reflects the charm and history of the antiques she sources. It is proof that the right space can help a business feel more organized, more professional, and more connected to its customers. And in Austyn’s case, it also proves that a warehouse can be unexpectedly beautiful.

Room to Create, Grow, and Make It Your Own

At WorkBay, we love seeing how tenants transform their spaces to fit their businesses. Austyn Marie Design has turned a flexible warehouse into a warm, inspiring showroom and functional fulfillment center. It is a space filled with antiques, art, history, and the hard work of a business owner who has built something truly unique.

You would never know it is a warehouse, and that is exactly the point. Austyn’s space shows what is possible when entrepreneurs have room to create, operate, and grow on their own terms.
